Types Of Membership

There are currently four types of membership:

Student Membership
This is open to anyone who has been accepted for, or is currently enrolled on, any of the HCAA's Certificate in Hotel Accounting course modules.

Ordinary Member
This is open to anyone of not less than eighteen years of age, in the employment of a hotel or club, and with some hotel or club accounting experience.

Associate Member (AHCAA)
This is open to :

  1. Hotel or club personnel with at least 2 years practical experience as an Assistant Controller or equivalent; or
     
  2. Student or Ordinary Members who have passed the HCAA Certificate in Hotel Accounting and have acquired sufficient supervisory experience; or
     
  3. Hotel or club personnel whom the Executive Committee consider possess equivalent knowledge and experience.
     

Fellow Member (FHCAA)
This is the HCAA's top membership category and is restricted to hotel or club personnel with a minimum of 2 years practical experience as Financial Controllers or equivalent, or individuals whom the Executive Committee consider to have gained such knowledge and experience.
