What Is The HCAA?

Tourism is a major earner of foreign currency and also a leading source of employment in Hong Kong. High standards of service and advanced operating techniques employed by hotels to promote the growth of this industry, and the Controller’s position is critical to the operation of a hotel as a successful business and investment.

Formed in 1991, The Hotel Controllers and Accountants Association of Hong Kong’s main aims are:

  • To improve the professional skills and knowledge of its members and to advance interests;
     
  • To assure prospective employers that they are employing candidates with proven operational and financial knowledge;
     
  • To enhance the status of the profession;
     
  • To provide a forum for presentations and to pass on information about developments in the industry and
     
  • To offer the opportunity of affiliation with other related international associations

The Association also exists to provide an opportunity for the exchange of ideas, and technical knowledge amongst members and for the voicing of concerns and view in relation to industry developments, education and technological advancement.
